In september I had the privilege to shoot a Greek Orthodox Wedding. Here is a sneak peek from Evangelia & Yiannis wedding. In a Orthodox church everbody is standing, not sitting. It’s very different from swedish tradition. People is circulating in and out in the small churches as they please during the wedding cermony. It’s charming, escpecially watching all the children. In the morning I went together with the happy bride to the ”kommotirio” … hairdresser. After she was done there we went to her house. I was suppose to shoot while she was dressing. But when we entred the house, Yiannis was kind of upset because he had got the wrong size on his shirt from the bridalstore. It was way too small. Evangelia found another shirt and in the middle of all this she had to iron Yiannis new shirt, dress the children and herself. It was a lovely moment. Especially since she doesn’t speak any english at all. I LOVE this Country. Welcome to Greece, people.
